By Jewish-Hungarian playwright George Tabori, Mein Kampf tells the story of a young down and out painter Adolf Hitler and his relationship with two Jews, Herzl and Lobkowitz in a Viennese flophouse circa 1900’s. With such a volatile and taboo subject, Tabori writes with a savage humor and a deep compassionate understanding of the evil that is to come. This dark comedy is rarely produced in the United States and is a rare theatrical event for DC audiences.

Mein Kampf runs at the H Street Playhouse July 12 through August 19. Appropriate for audiences 16 and up, tickets are $25 to $35 ($17 during Fringe Festival) and may be purchased online at scenatheater.org and at the H Street Playhouse one hour prior to performances.
