Monday, May 21, 2012 7:30pm Auditorium (A-5) Jewish Civil Life at a Time of Civil War: American Jewry in the Mid-19th Century Dr. Lauren Strauss, assistant professor (adjunct) of history and Judaic studies at the George Washington University will discuss the Jewish American experience pre-1870, with a focus on the status of the Jewish community in the decades surrounding the Civil War.
