Dominion Trail Mix will take place on October 20th at Farmwell Station Middle School in Ashburn, VA and will include three distinct parts: Hail the Trail, the Great Skedaddle, and Anthem Presents Trailfest and The Living Well Expo. Hail the Trail is the largest volunteer clean up on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, and it includes eight clean up stations from Purcellville to Arlington. Volunteers have the opportunity to beautify the trail through trash pick up, weeding, planting, kiosk maintenance and more. Following this, the Great Skedaddle is a non-competitive event that combines biking, running, and walking along the W&OD Trail. It is a 5K race for runners, joggers, and walkers, and a 5 or 10 mile race for bikers. Finally, supporters of the W&OD Trail, families, and park enthusiasts are encouraged to attend Anthem Presents Trailfest and The Living Well Expo. The event will be free to the public and will feature live entertainment, fun activities, food, and sports clinics.
