Appreciating the Barriers to Repentance

Category :: Lecture
There have been many different attempts, from Biblical to contemporary times, to identify with precision the component parts of the process of Repentance. We will examine one approach in which the intellectual and emotional and the theological and interpersonal intersect to shape a map of the actual inner and outer stages of Teshuvah.

Secondly, we will explore the barriers which each of us experience in different measures when attempting to be fully honest in our minds and hearts about the state of affairs of our bodies and souls. This is particularly the case living as we do in a powerfully secular and self-centered culture.

Thirdly, we will explore the ways in which a healthy Spiritual awareness can empower us to engage in honest self evaluation and profound alteration in our essential interpersonal relationships and enable a refreshed connection to God and His values.
