Women as Agents of Change: Maintaining Tradition, Realizing Potential

Category :: Educational
At the age of 17, Amal Elsana-Alhjooj established Israel’s first Bedouin women’s NGO, AJEEC (The Arab-Jewish Center for Equality, Empowerment and Cooperation). AJEEC addresses every unmet need for these women and their communities. Promoting health, economic equality, shared society and education for Israel’s Bedouin community, AJEEC is at the forefront of change in the Negev.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate nominee Elsana-Alhjooj will join Naomi Shachter, Associate Director of SHATIL, Dr. Rania Okby, world's first female Bedouin physician and the directors of AJEEC-NISPED.
