In the 1970's, the descendents of Ashkenazi Jewish immigrants re-awakened an interest and passion in the music their parents brought with them from Europe. In "The New Klezmorim", director David Kaufman takes audiences into the spirit of the Klezmer revival as experienced at the KlezCanada Yiddish culture retreat in 1998. This fascinating documentary features performances by some of the most talented figures in Yiddish music, including Brave Old Word, Adrienne Cooper, the late Bruce Adler and Josh Waletsky.
