Experience the Modern through Literature and Art: A Symposium and
Exhibit

The Second Annual Literatures of Modernity Symposium at Ryerson University will feature an array of national and international talent brought together around the topic of modernity and its many salient features.

The event features Toronto Star columnist Christopher Hume as a keynote speaker addressing the interrelationship of modernity, community, and city building. As well, displays of art work along with 6 discussion panels with speakers from Canada, the US and Europe, and 1 round table with Ryerson speakers will be will be part of the day.

The symposium (including keynote, exhibit, and evening reception) is open to the general public and is free of charge, though onsite registration is required.
