JDL Protest to expose Israel Boycotter Theodore Bikel

Ashkenaz is thrilled to announce that this
year’s Annual Summer Yiddish Concert will feature the Canadian
debut of Serendipity4, a veritable supergroup including the
legendary star of song, stage and screen Theodore Bikel.

Bikel, has said his views of Israel have shifted over the years, beginning
with the 1982 ‘massacre’ committed by Christian Phalangist allies of Israel in
the ‘Palestinian’ refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila in Lebanon.

Today, Bikel is willing to state that he sees “some sort of similarities”
between the situation in the “West Bank” and apartheid in South Africa, where he
refused to perform until racial segregation was abolished. Bikel supports a
boycott of Israel.

The JDL is calling on all concerned people to join our campaign to expose and
confront Theodore Bikel at the Beth Emeth. Theodore Bikel should not be given a
platform in the Jewish Community.
