Annex Shul is looking to build on the success of the family programs to date and add some additional learning components for both parents and children. The idea behind these events is to give the children and parents independent opportunities for learning on similar topics and allow for richer understanding and practice of certain ideas and rituals.

Our first family learning event has a Summer Gardening theme. We are partnering with Shoresh Jewish Environmental Programs who will facilitate a discussion on living a greener Jewish life with the parents. At the same time, the children will have fun doing some gardening and crafts in the garden at the Wolfond Centre and will be supervised by Annex Shul volunteers. All are welcome to join in the adult discussion.

Later on in the fall we hope to see the fruits of our children's labour when we celebrate Sukkot together.
