Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Board of Directors of BBYO, as well as the hundreds of Toronto-area teens involved in our programs, we are writing to you today to ask for your support.
No longer supported by B'nai Brith, BBYO’s success depends on support from those who care about young people and our Jewish future. Because of people like you with a belief in our programs, BBYO was able to raise vital funds at last year’s golf tournament.
Our 17th annual BBYO Friends & Alumni Network Golf Tournament is taking place Tuesday July 12th, 2011 at Nobleton Lakes Golf Club. The day includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner, a silent auction, gifts and prizes. This year's tournament honours the memory of Steve Glickman, alumnus of BBYO and long-time supporter of the BBYO Alumni Golf Tournament.
Your support of the tournament – as a golfer, sponsor or prize donor – will have an immediate impact on teens in our community through BBYO.
Over the course of 87 years, the lives of hundreds of thousands of Jewish teens have been shaped by BBYO; value systems strengthened, leadership skills honed and friendships formed. BBYO’s endless number of individual success stories – from politicians and top business executives to Jewish communal leaders and cutting-edge entrepreneurs – has been built on a proven model of exceptional identity enrichment and leadership development experiences.
Each year at our tournament we have a silent auction and raffle. We appreciate any merchandise or gift certificates that your company is able to contribute.
We suggest golfers register early. This year’s tournament is limited to 120 golfers (30 foursomes), after which there will be a waiting list. Over the years we have had a lot of feedback about the pace of play during the day. This will ensure a reasonable pace on the golf course and will add to the enjoyment of the day.
