Wild Edible Food Walk

Category :: Educational
With Fred Bové

During the summer months the Bay Area is bursting with a wide assortment of plants and flowers. Learn to identify many easy-to-spot wild edible plants that grow in our own backyards. Find out how local plants that grow beyond our garden beds could still end up on our dinner plates. Outdoor walking included.

About the Instructor
Fred Bové is a certified permaculture designer, consultant and teacher and is a UC Certified Master Gardener and has lead wild plant and seaweed forage walks for ForageSF. Fred served as Associate Director of Adult Education at the San Francisco Botanical Garden. He currently teaches permaculture at UC Berkeley Extension and is in the process of developing a pollinator education program for SuperOrganism, a Marin-based nonprofit promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
