Speakers Training, Storytelling with a Message!

Category :: Fundraiser
Come learn storytelling with a message! Mingle with Mizrahi Jews of all ages, get inspired to share your stories, and help JIMENA preserve Mizrahi and Sephardi history and culture.

JIMENA is looking forward to hosting a unique Speakers Training session with filmmaker, activist, entrepreneur and dear friend, Avi Goldwasser. Avi, Producer of the film “Forgotten Refugees”, will provide you with the skills needed to effectively share your familial story with audiences large and small. Learn the ARM method of public speaking and receive the tools to engage audiences and spread a particular message.

Members of JIMENA’s Speakers Bureau will be on hand to share their insights, sharpen their skills and answer questions from prospective speakers.

The first session will start at 11:00AM and is for first generation, eye-witness refugees.
The later session will start at 1:30PM and is geared for younger individuals who wish to share their family’s story and learn public speaking skills.

All are invited for Kosher lunch, which will be served at 12:30
