Memorial Day Weekend ’11 – Portland MoDox Outdoor Adventure Shabbaton
Wednesday night – Monday night:

$99 Registration Includes:
All meals, most activities, host family hospitality, host family gift, souvenir

Additional Charges:
Car rental/gas – shared fee (about $75 per person)
Ski lift ticket ($35 approx) & rental equipment ($25) or mountain biking rental & Alpine Slide ($40 total for both)
Hotel fee of approx $200 for all nights except Shabbat (Shabbat will be with a host family as there are no hotels near shul)
Any drinks at bars
Any sightseeing in Portland that has fees

Itinerary:

Wednesday: Depart after work and arrival in evening
7 pm – Check In, pizza, beer at Jodi’s

Thursday: Nike day
7:00 am – Breakfast
8:00 am – Nike Workout (see facilities/options below)
10:00 am – Tour of Nike World Headquarters Campus
11:30 am – Guest Speakers – Erez Morag, Nike Sports Research Lab, Senior Researcher
Allison Williams, Global Soccer Equipment, Marketing
Lunch – Bag Lunch Provided
12:30 pm – Nike Employee Store (50% off retail)
3:30 pm – Forrest Park Hike
5:00 pm – Bridgeport Brewery Tour & Tasting
6:15 pm – Head back to hotel/host family
7:30 pm – Dinner at Café at the J Kosher Restaurant – Dairy (dinner partially sponsored by Federation)

9:00 pm – Drinks at Portland City Grille or The Nines, overlooking city

Friday: Portland Downtown City Day/Nature Day

Shopping in the Pearl District/NW 23rd Area Shopping
12:00 pm – Lunch – Bag Lunch Provided
12:05 pm – Depart for Multnomah Falls Hike
3:00 pm – Return from Multnomah Falls
4:00 pm – Berry Picking at Sauvie Island
6:00 pm – Go to Host Family’s for Shabbos, if Staying at Hotel
6:30 pm – Shul
7:30 pm – Catered Shabbat dinner at Kesser Israel
9:00 pm – Speaker from Chabad
10:00 pm – Oneg

Saturday: Shabbat
9:00 am – Shul
11:30 am – Shul Kiddush & Speaker from Portland Kollel
12:00 pm – Shabbat Lunch with Host Family
4:00 pm – Gabriel Park hangout/walk
8:00 pm – 3rd Meal at Moishe House (Sponsored by Moishe House)
9:43 pm – Havdallah
10:00 pm – Return to Hotel, if Applicable
1100 pm – Dancing/Drinks/Karaoke in SE/NE – Place-TBD

Sunday: Oregon Coast Day
9:00 am – Breakfast
10:00 am – Depart for Coast & Cannon Beach
11:30 am – Hike Ecola State Park and Picnic Lunch
2:00 pm – Ocean/Beach/Surf/Walk town
4:00 pm – Drive to Tillimook on route 101/Pacific Coastal Hwy
4:30 pm – Tour of Tilimook Cheese Factory
5:30 pm – Head Back to Portland
7:30 pm – BBQ Dinner – place TBD
9:00 pm – Live music bar on east side or Doug Fir Lounge

Monday: Mt. Hood Day
6:00 am – Depart for Mt. Hood & To Go Breakfast
7:30 am – Skiing at Timberline (Open 7:00 am – 2:00 pm)
Skibowl Mtn. Biking/Alpine Slide

2:00 pm – Head Back for Dinner
