Yom Kippur 2011 (5772)

Category :: Religious Holiday
Yom Kippur, known as the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year for Jews. The central themes of the Holy Day are atonement and repentance. Jews traditionally observe this holy day with an 25-hour fast and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. Yom Kippur completes the annual period known in Judaism as the High Holy Days.
