WHAT: Shabbat Shabbang is a Friday night dinner designed to welcome our families with children of all ages into our building for a fabulous meal, new friends, and fascinating program offerings. Looking to
create a connection to the community? Hope to deepen your relationship with your child's after-school friends? Want to create a Shabbat experience for your kids, but you’re too tired after a full week of work?
Shabbat Shabbang Jr. is the program for you.

MORE DETAILS: Because we want to create a Shabbat-friendly environment for everyone, we have a Shabbat elevator, strictly kosher (and delicious) cuisine, and shomer Shabbat program
options are always available. Program offerings subject to change based on registration numbers. All registered guests will be notified in advance if there are significant changes to the program.
INFANTS & TODDLERS DINNER (AGES 4 AND UNDER)
Welcome Shabbat with appetizers and cocktails at 5:30 pm, followed by an interactive song session from 5:45-6:15 pm. Blessing and dinner to follow. All levels of observance welcome! Grandparents and extended family
members are welcome to attend as well! Strollers must remain in the lobby.
FUN AND GAMES FOR SCHOOL-AGE FAMILIES* (AGES 4-10)
Join us for a dynamic dinner in our 3rd floor gymnasium. Begin at 6:00 pm with a cool, Shabbat-friendly art project, followed by the Friday night rituals and a delicious buffet dinner. Afterwards parents can sit
back and enjoy a glass of wine while the kids take part in relay races, tumbling, and other fabulous gym activities with the JCC’s extraordinary coaches! Finally we will meet up with the other participants in the lobby for dessert and more fun.
GENERATION FAMILY DINNER
Starting at 6:00 pm, share the warmth and fun of a Friday night dinner with other Russian-speaking families. Parents will meet one another and make new friends while enjoying a delicious meal and celebrating Shabbat
as a community. Sit back and relax over a glass of wine while your children engage in a special project designed and lead by the JCC's gifted Russian-Language Shabbat Club teachers. Then head to the lobby for dessert and fun kid-friendly activities which will be shared with families from the other family dinners taking place throughout the building. Programming is geared towards children 4 and up, but kids of all ages are welcome.
