The JCC In Manhattan Announces: Shabbat Shabbang: Friday Night Dinners at the JCC – APRIL 27th

WHAT: Join us for Shabbat rituals and appetizers in the lobby, dinner with a choice of programs, ending with dessert/coffee in the lobby. $18.00 All

Adult Program 1: Klezmer Meets Bluegrass! Klezmer clarinetist Margot Leverett joins forces with today's stars of klezmer and bluegrass to explore the shared musical spirit of two genres literally worlds apart. The resulting medleys and improvisations are at once raw, funny, soulful and foot-stomping.

Family Program: Shabbat Fun and Games for Families - Begin with Shabbat rituals followed by a buffet dinner. Afterwards parents can sit back and enjoy a glass of wine while the kids take part in relay races, tumbling and other fabulous gym activities with the JCC’s extraordinary coaches!

OR

Adult Program 2: Jewish Reflections on the Ransom of Galid Shalit with Rabbi Saul Berman Jewish Law and experience has long contended with the problem of redeeming hostages. We will explore the teachings of Jewish law and thought on the question of what justifiable limits are to be placed on such action.
