Join Sharon Liberman Mintz, senior consultant for Judaica and Hebraica at Sotheby’s, for a guided tour of Jewish marriage contracts (ketubbot) from the JTS Library (one of the world's finest collections), where Ms. Mintz is curator of Jewish Art. The ketubbot, dating from the 12th–21st centuries, are a microcosm of Jewish culture, reflecting both the geographical diversity of Jewish settlement and the artistic relationship between Jewish communities and their host countries. The exhibit displays both the splendid art of the ketubbah and the fascinating social and historical context in which they were created.
