Grammy-nominated soprano Lucy Shelton and Dolce Suono Ensemble of Philadelphia join up to perform Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Shulamit Ran’s "Moon Songs: A Song Cycle in Four Acts for Soprano, Flute, Cello, and Piano."

The work, which is sung in Hebrew with passages from the Bible and Hebrew poetry of the Middle Ages and in English, recalls for the ways in which, through poetry, myth, and fantasy, we have been struck by that gleaming, fantastical, mysterious vision we call the moon. With music from Messiaen, Roussel, Daniel Catán, and Jeremy Gill.
