Shabbat Service & Cultural Program - WHAT WE WISH WE’D KNOWN (When We Were

WHAT WE WISH WE’D KNOWN (When We Were Younger)

Perhaps we wish we’d known that no job is perfect, and relationships aren’t either. Or we discovered family stories or secrets too late to find out more, ones that might have redirected our own choices and paths. Perhaps we have advice for our children, or for children we never had. About taking life more seriously and buckling down earlier…or maybe just the opposite, lightening up and not squandering our youth.

In our program, a panel of City Congregation members will share their own insights and belated realizations – some humorous, some quirky, some sad. If we’d known what we wish we’d known when we were younger, would life today look different? Or would we still end up where we are but maybe a little wiser? After the panel presents their thoughts, audience members will be invited to join the conversation. The program will be moderated by Carol Sternhell, TCC member and professor at the NYU Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.

Please join us for pot-luck dessert and schmoozing following our Shabbat service and cultural program. Childcare provided for children 11 and younger.

All are welcome at this free event.
