The moving story of Mr. M is set in the “Absurdistan” of WWII Prague, where the rights of Jews are chipped away and all that remains is waiting for transport. To mentally and physically prepare himself, Mr. Mundstock turns his apartment into a training camp where he practices hard labor and smiles at imaginary tormentors.
