monajat fervent prayer august 10 2011
Composed and Performed by Galeet Dardashti

Monajat is a multimedia concert inspired by the poetic prayers of Selihot, recited during the month preceding the Jewish New Year as a means of deep reflection and spiritual preparation. Dardashti re-imagines this ritual in collaboration with an acclaimed ensemble of musicians, an electronic soundscape, and dynamic video projections designed by Dmitry Kmelnitsky.
