Join us for an intimate lunch and conversation with New York Times best-selling author Meg Wolitzer as she discusses her new book, The Uncoupling. Ticket includes lunch and a copy of the book and $36 of the ticket fee is a tax-deductible charitable contribution.
Literacy and Lunch is an exciting series at the JCC that offers and intimate setting with renowned authors. But your ticket also helps support the JCC's literacy programs. Through our two signature programs, The Lambert Family Partners for Literacy and Gift of Literacy, thousands of children on the Upper West Side and south Harlem who might otherwise fall between the cracks learn to read. We actively recruit and train community volunteers who help almost 400 struggling readers each year. Your support can make a critical difference in the lives of these school children.
About the Author: Meg Wolitzer’s previous novels include The Ten-Year Nap, The Position (about the sexual revolution of the 1970s), and The Wife (about the gender politics of the 1950s). Her short fiction has been published in The Best American Short Stories and ThePushcart Prize. A children’s novel about Scrabble, The Fingertips of Duncan Dorfman, will be published in Fall 2011.
