Community Security:
An Introduction to Krav Maga and Threats Facing the Jewish Community
Tired of just talking about helping the community?
Come join the Community Security Service and Jewish International Connection to learn some of the fundamentals of Krav Maga, the famous Israeli martial art. Learn firsthand how it can be used as an effective self defense weapon. Wear your gym clothes and be prepared to sweat and work hard.
Meet the people that are working with the police and major Jewish organizations to safeguard our community. Members of the Community Security Ser¬vice will also provide a brief introduction about the threats facing the Jewish community today, and what you can do about it in a safe, legal, and effective manner.
About the Community Security Service
Founded by Jewish professional leaders with backgrounds in security, CSS proactively protects the people, synagogues, and events of the American Jewish community. Since its formation in 2007, CSS has provided security for hundreds of Jewish events and a number of synagogues, all on a volunteer basis and without receiving payment for its services. In doing so, CSS works in coordination with the organized Jewish community and law enforcement. We believe that security is an issue that affects all members of the Jewish community and it is incumbent upon its members, especially the next generation, to build an effective community-wide response. CSS is also a non-political and non-denominational organization and registered as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit legal entity.
