IISHJ - #1 WHY are we ...still Jewish?

A rational response to the Holocaust might have been to leave Judaism. Haven't we suffered enough? Yet we cling to our Jewish inheritance. Why do we stay connected? Why do others join us? And how is this identity shaped by the legacy of the Holocaust? Or is it?


Faculty: Rabbi Adam Chalom, Dean, North America, of The International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism and rabbi of Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation in suburban Chicago, Illinois. He holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Jewish Studies from the University of Michigan.

Sessions are held at the 14th St. Y (344 E. 14th St.)
and SAJ (15 West 86th St. in Manhattan.

Shabbat is free. All are welcome.
Each of the other sessions is $20 or $50 for all three sessions. Registration is required.
