Join us in the East Village every Tuesday night for a 4-session series of a thought provoking class on Jewish thought, followed by an exciting musical performance.
Launching on April 30 with super fun Jazz troupe The Xylopholks, the series will combine young, emerging musical talents, curated by Brooklyn-based musician Lizmi, with a meaningful and fresh exploration of Jewish identity, led by Aish Downtown's Rabbi Stuart Shiff.

A dynamic group of musicians who mostly play novelty ragtime music from the 1920’s, featuring the xylophone, while wearing furry animal costumes.

Concert: Traditional Moroccan Gnawa Music
Gnawa is spiritual music that is traditionally used for therapy. It is performed during trance ceremonies called derdeba (possession rite) which generally take place at nighttime. For this reason it is also called al-layla (meaning the night, in Arabic).

Avi Fox-Rosen lives, works, and plays in Brooklyn NY. Avi leads a rock band called Double Double, and also plays guitar with many wonderful people in many wonderful places.
