Daniel Ori is an Israeli born bassist and composer, a prominent young voice in the New York contemporary Jazz scene. He has performed worldwide in venues and Festivals such as , Blue Note NY, Smalls, Red Sea Jazz Festival, Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival and Boston Beantown Jazz Festival to name a few. Ori is a scholarship recipient and graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston as well as a 2009 ASCAP Jazz Composers Award winner. In late 2009, Ori released his debut album So It Goes, through the Art of Life Records label. The music is fresh, communicative, lyrical and rhythmic. A mix of modern jazz with Middle Eastern Latin and African influences. Daniel’s second album, Emuna, featuring the great Mark Turner on sax, guitarist Oz Noy, pianist Sam Barsh and drummer Ziv Ravitz will be released soon.
