community forum building a fully inclusive jewish community january 9 2011
Save the Date - next community forum - BUILDING A FULLY INCLUSIVE JEWISH COMMUNITY - Sunday, January 9th 2011 @ 8pm

1 in 7 children live with some form of special needs yet the Manhattan Jewish Community lags far behind other communities in the US and around the world in providing these children an inclusive community experience.
From out schools to our community activities, special needs children are often an afterthought.
This begs the question: Why are the people charged with being a light unto the nations lagging so far behind and what can we do to make a change?

The panel will include Richard Bernstein: Chairman, Wayne State University Board of Governors; Professor, University of Michigan; and Disability Rights Attorney.
