beginning digital photography academy: ages 11–14 years
This class is going to have a variety of fun adventures both at the JCC and on outings. Class time will be spent learning how to use your digital SLR or point and shoot camera to cultivate a critical eye and capture the images you want to create. NYC will be your landscape to practice new photography techniques with your instructor. Students will learn to balance and adjust photographs in Lightroom in the JCC Digital Lab.
View the work of well-known photographers during in-class slide lectures and on trips to museums and galleries. Gain skills to compose and light your photos more effectively. Use studio lights to create a staged picture with your classmates. Leave the class with a portfolio of work to show friends and family.
A camera with manual settings is necessary.
