Introduction to The City Congregation’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah program with Rabbi Peter Schweitzer and program Director Isabel Kaplan.
Have you attended a Humanistic Bar or Bat Mitzvah? Learn what is involved in preparing for and celebrating a Humanistic Bar or Bat Mitzvah service with The City Congregation. You will hear about how we match our students with mentors who work with them individually over an extended period of time to help them prepare. We will describe the eight steps required to have a TCC service, talk about the time frame and show you some sample service booklets and student writings. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. Parents and potential students are welcome.
