The first Friday night of every month is the Shabbat Unplugged service, at 7:30 PM at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills. Led by our clergy, this service-in-the-round is enhanced by the music of guitar, drums, and clarinet or flute. The energy is electric, with the liturgy sung by the whole congregation. This popular service regularly draws several hundred people of all ages, including many younger congregants in their 20’s and 30’s. There is a short d’var Torah given by one of the rabbis. It is followed by a festive Oneg Shabbat.
