Do you know teens interested in service or advocacy? Are they passionate about a cause but not quite sure what to do with that passion or where to look for advice about how to take a stand? Well if so, what they might need is a taste… of activism!
On Saturday, April 16th, 2011, the PANIM Institute of BBYO in partnership with Pacific Coast Region BBYO would like to invite you, your teens, and all families and friends, to join us for A Taste of Activism – an evening of information sharing and inspiring stories designed to turn you from dreamer to leader. The event is free and open to the public, so please pass this invitation along to anyone you think might be interested in attending.
A Taste of Activism will be held at Camp Alonim (located at 1101 Peppertree Lane, Brandeis, CA 93064), and will run from 8:00 – 10:00PM on the 16th. The evening will feature the following:
- Service/advocacy fair: Learn about service and advocacy opportunities available in your community
- Keynote presentation: Hear from 21-year old social entrepreneur Chris Golden, of myImpact.org, who will share his story of how he developed his passion for service and advocacy into an online sensation.
- Dance/social to follow (10-11pm): Open to all teens age 14-18, for an additional entrance fee of $10.
