The community is invited to come together to mark this 8-day Jewish holiday. One light is kindled on the first night of the festival and an additional light is added on each of the successive seven nights. An extra light, called the “shamash,” which means “guard” is used to light all the other lights on the menorah.
Rabbi Zukrow of Congregation Ner Tamid will lead the lighting and prayer.
