YOUNG JEWISH MUSICIAN BRINGS HIS ROCK BAND TO VEGAS
Free Concert at Freakin' Frog Wednesday, July 14th
Mendi Baron is a singer, guitarist and songwriter with an amazing rock band.
Born and bred in Columbia MD, Mendi is a Rabbi’s son, a Social Worker/Counselor for At-Risk Teens, and a musician, and was raised in a life of music, both at the head of the congregation, and at home.
Today Mendi is a performing artist with a guitar on his back, a kippa (Jewish Skullcap) on his head, and two rock albums filled with catchy and original compositions.
The songs performed by Mendi and the band are driven by soulful vocals, guitar, keys and a tight rhythm section comprised of bass and drums, as they bring their 30+ years of musical experience to the table.
Just off of a creative hiatus to work on his newly released album “Dreamer” as well as study under the vocal instruction of Carmen Balthrop (the director of Vocal training at the University of MD and famed Opera legend), Mendi and the band have resumed performing at festivals and venues all over the country.
Mendi has also been recently recruited as part of the Military Entertainment Roster to play for the US troops overseas.
