Join Temple Emanu-El Young Adults for an Organic Tu B'Shevat wine tasting, dinner, and a movie, including an interactive discussion with Rabbi Oren Hayon. Tu B'Shevat is a celebration of the renewal of vision and awareness, a celebration of connections and connectedness--to our own inner selves, to the social world of human beings, and to the natural world and its Source. Please join us for an organic wine tasting seder experience, and IMAX Movie Screening of Bugs! A Rainforest Adventure. Wines sampled will include sustainable, organic and bio-dynamic wines from various regions. Dinner will be catered by BEE, Monica Greene’s new enchiladeria concept coming to the Bishop Arts District in 2011, which emphasizes healthy, organic, and free-range ingredients. In conjunction with the showing of the film, Rabbi Oren Hayon will engage us in lively discussion about Tu B'Shevat and our relationship with the natural world.
A portion of the proceeds of the Temple Emanu-El Young Adults Tu B’Shevat event will go to the Carmel-Fire Israel Emergency Fund to help Israel combat the worst fire in its history affecting Haifa and the Carmel Forest. We grieve with the families who have lost loved ones and for the loss of trees. Contributing to the Carmel Fire-Israel Emergency Fund is one more way for you to participate in building Israel.
