OLYMPIA FIELDS, ILLINOIS – September 6, 2010 – A live presentation by Tzipi Livni, Israeli Affairs Foreign Minister and Acting Prime Minister, will be broadcast via satellite at Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 S. Western, Olympia Fields on Sunday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m.
The presentation will offer an assessment of the state of world Jewry by one of Israel’s most high-profile and influential political figures. In 2006, Livni was appointed Israeli Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and some have suggested that she could be the next “Golda Meir.”
The event is part of a new lecture series produced by New York City’s famous 92nd Street Y, which uses satellite technology to bring cultural programming from nationally and internationally recognized political figures, entertainers and newsmakers to community organizations across America.
Registration for these events is encouraged and open to the community. Cost for the three-part lecture series is $25 or $10/program. Students with a valid ID will be admitted FREE.
In addition to the presentation by Tzipi Livni, other programs will include:
