The Pianist of Willesden Lane

Category :: Theatre
Set in 1938 Vienna and London, The Pianist of Willesden Lane is the true story of a young Jewish pianist, Lisa Jura, who dreamed of playing in the Musikverein concert hall. When she is sent on a Kindertransport to London to protect her from the Nazi regime, everything about her life is upended except her love of music and the pursuit of her dream.

Starring Lisa’s daughter, award-winning concert pianist Mona Golabek, the play features some of the world’s most beloved piano music. The Pianist of Willesden Lane is a riveting tale of hope that is a powerful testament to how music helps us survive through our darkest times.
