Yishai combines the analytical skills of an American law school graduate, a deep knowledge of Middle East history, personal experience as a paratrooper in the Israeli Defense Forces, and a natural ability to connect to listeners/viewers honed through years of broadcasting. He educates, inspires and encourages discussion through a personal and emotional approach rooted in facts and analysis. Yishai served as Director of Israel National Radio (Arutz Sheva) for 7 years and built the station into a major global provider of audio content on Israel and the Middle East region including news, analysis, cultural, and religious programming generating over 120,000 downloads per month. Yishai and his wife Malkah are now building Eye On Zion Studio on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem overlooking the Temple Mount. The Eye On Zion Studio is the first pro-Israel multi-media studio in Eastern Jerusalem and will provide content to cable and satellite outlets around the world.
Yishai Fleisher's parents are Russian refusenik scientists who escaped to Israel in the 1970s. Yishai was born in Haifa. His parents moved to the US when Yishai was eight years old and he grew up in New Jersey. Yishai returned to Israel at seventeen to become an IDF paratrooper. After being injured in Lebanon, he completed college and law school (Cardozo) in the United States. He married a Texan and fellow law student, Malkah, and together they made aliyah to Israel after graduation in 2003. Yishai and Malkah live in Israel with their daughter.
