Northbrook Community Synagogue To Hold Torah Parade and Open House

Northbrook Community Synagogue, 2548 Jasper Court in Northbrook, invites the community to a Torah parade and Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 21. This event celebrates the merger of three synagogues: Northbrook Congregation Ezra Habonim and Adas Yehuda v’Shoshana of Northbrook and Maine Township Jewish Congregation of Des Plaines. The goal of the merger of the three synagogues is to increase membership and stimulate registration in the Sunday school program and Hebrew School classes.
Congregants will be parading with the Torahs starting at 11 a.m. from Northbrook Congregation Ezra Habonim, 2095 Landwehr Rd. to Northbrook Community Synagogue.
