Young Israel of west Rogers Park presents two groups of musicians to fill your evening with beautiful and interesting music that is sure to put a song in your heart and lift your spirits - followed by a jam featuring members of both groups plus!
Ken Burnstein’s Shir L'Shalom - uplifting Chassidic, Jewish traditional, and Carlebach songs and nigunim – With special guest Ruby Harris.
Ellie Kaplan’s Mi Yodea (featuring Ann Gross, Phil Isaacson and Sue Kaplan) – Tradition with a Twist – standard Jewish tunes and originals, blended with a bit of both today and tomorrow.
Both Shir L'Shalom and Mi Yodea have proven to be real crowd pleasers, evoking musical memories of the past as well as a glimpse of the future- and delighting audiences with their lively, modern renditions.
Join us for the music and satisfy your hunger with free chips, pop and ice cream, and $2.50 pizza slices.
