glass leadership institute 2011 2012 july 27 2011
Applications are now available online for the Glass Leadership Institute and may be submitted from now until the end of the day on September 27th.

The Glass Leadership Institute is a nationally recognized young leadership development program for the Anti-Defamation League offered in more than 20 ADL regions. The Institute is made possible through the generous support of Shirley and the late Sherwin Glass of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Glass Leadership Institute is designed for a select group of young professionals as an up-close and personal opportunity to expand their knowledge about the nation’s premier human relations organization. Participants are expected to commit themselves to attend monthly sessions throughout the year and attend the annual Shana Amy Glass National Leadership Conference, held each spring, in Washington DC.

Goals of the Glass Leadership Institute include but are not limited to:
Developing a cadre of leaders who will be effective advocates on behalf of ADL in their communities and beyond; educating young professionals on the core mission and programs of ADL; preparing emerging leaders to confront the issues facing the Jewish community and community at large; and
Gaining perspective from other young leaders in the community.

The Glass Leadership Institute will be led by Jenna Benn, ADL Assistant Regional Director and Glass Co-Chairs Sara Eber, Mark Lazarus and Sara Feinstein, all of whom are Glass graduates and ADL Board Members. Under their leadership, partiicpants will have a chance to learn from ADL experts on a variety of different topics.

Midway through the program, participants have a chance to attend a national conference in Washington DC where they will have a chance to meet other Glass Leadership Institute participants from around the country and hear from leading political figures and community leaders.

The program starts in Late November and will run until Late July. Meetings take place on a monthly basis.
