Chicagoans can get a first-hand report on Israeli/Palestinian negotiations and prospects for peace when Jeremy Ben-Ami, President of J Street, and Dr. Yossi Beilin, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, speak at Temple Sholom on April 3.
Beilin, who also served Israel as a Member of Knesset and Minister of Justice, was a key architect of the Oslo Accords and helped launch the Birthright program. Ben-Ami, who has grown J Street into a powerful voice for the majority of American Jews, who supports a two-state solution as a path to peace, and who served as Deputy Domestic Policy Advisor to President Bill Clinton, has recently returned from Israel with a delegation of U.S. congressional leaders.
