White Noise is a new rock/hip-hop musical produced by Whoopi Goldberg that is heading to Broadway next season. It is playing its pre-Broadway engagement at the Royal George Theatre beginning April 1. Inspired by real life, White Noise is a new rock musical that follows a pair of White Power-sympathizing sisters who are discovered by a powerful record producer and groomed into a well-packaged rock/pop band, which mixes coded rhetoric with irresistible harmonies into chart-blazing hits. It is a wildly entertaining, no-holds-barred look at how a desensitized public is easily exploited into buying messages of hate, bigotry and racism...or in other words, a re-imagination of the adage "when good men do nothing, evil happens" - something we know all too well.
