Who We Want to Be: Fostering Jewish-Muslim Connections for a Brighter Future

Category :: Young Adult
This event welcomes young adults, congregations and all interested individuals to a day of intercultural collaboration at the Vilna Shul.

Come and connect with organizations and community leaders who are committed to building relationships between Jews and Muslims.

It’s a chance to hear practical and inspirational examples of how engagement works on the ground, join together in a sustainable public service project, and highlight the creative ways we can improve relationships between our communities through the arts, technology, sciences, and spirituality.

"Who We Want to Be" is supported by Equal Exchange, the Islamic Society of Boston, and in partnership with the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding’s annual Weekend of Twinning. The Weekend of Twinning is an initiative formed in cooperation with the World Jewish Congress and the Islamic Society of North America. It encourages Mosques and Synagogues, Imams and Rabbis, as well as Muslim and Jewish students, young leadership and women’s groups in cities across North America and around the world to hold joint programs on the same weekend with the goal of building ties of communication, reconciliation, and cooperation between Muslims and Jews. The Weekend of Twinning’s theme this year is “Muslims and Jews Standing Up for the Other.”

Mark your calendars now and be sure to visit our website in the coming weeks to get all the details on the event.
