Conversations at the Vilna is a series of spirited discussions around the Vilna Shul's old study table with local scholars and authors about topics relevant to Jewish identity. This conversation will be led by Daniel E. Levenson, writer, teacher and publisher of the New Vilna Review, a publication dedicated to creating open, accessible and vibrant dialogue within the Jewish community. In a continuing discussion about what it means to be Jewish in a modern world, Daniel will address the following questions: "What are the goals and priorities of the Jewish community today? What aspects of Jewish culture, theology and thought are most meaningful for us as individuals? What kinds of traditions and ideas do we want to pass on to the next generation? What do we personally struggle with when it comes to Jewish history, culture and tradition? Where do we go from here ?"
