You are invited to join us for a conversation with Elizabeth Berman, certified Judaica appraiser, who will evaluate and answer questions about your Jewish artifacts. You know how important your family heirlooms are; this is an opportunity to have a professional Judaica appraiser evaluate them and see if perhaps they have additional value as antiques.
Ms. Berman is an accredited appraiser, specializing in modern and contemporary art, Judaica, historical papers, and American and European fine arts and antiquities. She is the President of Judaica in Context and Collections in Context. In addition to being an independent appraiser for private collectors and museums, she has also served as curator at the B'nai B'rith Klutznick National Jewish Museum, guest curator at the United States Holocaust Museum, and curator at the Jewish Historical Society of Maryland.
This event is part of a series of conversations being held at the Vilna Shul, Boston's Center for Jewish Culture as another way for all to connect with their Jewish identity and for us to perpetuate an enduring Jewish identity in Boston. It is a brown bag lunch event. We ask that if your bring your lunch that you respect basic kosher laws (no pork, shellfish, or mixed meat and dairy). We will have bottled water available.
