Challah Baking Workshop

Category :: Community
Did you ever think that baking bread can be a spiritual experience?

Wondering what is the best Challah recipe? Can't get the Challah braiding right?

Chabad of Downtown Boston Jewish Women's Circle and the Vilna Shul invite women of the community to a pre-High Holiday Challah Baking Workshop.

Join us for a hands-on baking experience led by Mrs. Shayndel Zaklos, co-director of Chabad of Downtown Boston, and discover how to create Homemade, Symbolic, and Delicious Challah for the holiday. Learn the art of Challah baking, as we get our hands sticky in dough made from scratch. Bring a new flavor to your home with the the best of Challah recipes. Discover the various braiding techniques and twists, and explore the spiritual significance and beauty of this age-old tradition.

Everyone will leave the class with Challah for the holidays and an experience that will last a life time. You will also receive a recipe with step-by-step instructions.

Validated parking is available across the street from the Shul at the Charles River Parking Garage (underground) near Whole Foods. You can also reach us by public transportation. Take the Red Line to Charles/MGH. We are a 4 minute walk from the subway.
