Challah Baking Workshop

Category :: Educational
It’s back! Come and learn how to bake beautiful Challah at the historic Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill.

Did you ever think that baking bread can be a spiritual experience?

Wondering what is the best Challah recipe? Can’t get the Challah braiding right?

Chabad of Downtown Boston Jewish Women’s Circle and the Vilna Shul invite women of the community to a pre-High Holiday Challah Baking Workshop.

Join us for a hands-on baking experience led by Mrs. Shayndel Zaklos, co-director of Chabad of Downtown Boston, and discover how to create Homemade, Symbolic, and Delicious Challah for the holiday. Learn the art of Challah baking, as we get our hands sticky in dough made from scratch. Bring a new flavor to your home with the best of Challah recipes. Discover the various braiding techniques and twists, and explore the spiritual significance and beauty of this age-old tradition.

$18 per person suggested donation

Everyone will leave the class with Challah for the holidays and an experience that will last a life time. You will also receive a recipe with step-by-step instructions.

Contact: To RSVP email [email protected] or [email protected]. You can also reach us at the Vilna Shul by telephone at 617-523-2324.

Validated parking is available near the Shul at the Charles River Parking Garage (underground) near Au Bon Pain on Cambridge Street. You can also reach us by public transportation. Take the Red Line to Charles/MGH. We are a 4 minute walk from the subway.
