Jews on the Move: Baltimore and the Suburban Exodus, 1945-1968

Category :: Community
Wednesday, October 17th – Jews on the Move: Baltimore and the Suburban Exodus, 1945-1968 –6:30pm, Exhibit Opening, remarks at 7pm
Join us at the Johns Hopkins University for the opening of the Jews on the Move exhibit– a collaboration between the Jewish Museum of Maryland and undergraduate student in the Johns Hopkins University Program in Museums & Society.
In less than one generation Baltimore’s urban Jewish community became suburban. Jews on the Move explores the transformation of this community as they moved to Northwest Baltimore County. Meet and hear from the student and JMM staff curators, and be the first to see Jews on the Move. This exhibit will open at Hodson Hall on the JHU Homewood Campus. Check out www.jewsonthemove.org to share your family’s suburban experience and to see the schedule of upcoming venues in and around Baltimore hosting this traveling exhibit.
Please RSVP to [email protected] or call 410-732-6400 ext. 215
