Something fishy is going on at the JMM! We’re expanding the Museum’s hours and adding new tours and programs!
To hook you on the JMM’s new hours, the Museum is proud to present GefilteFest on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Join us for a day of cooking, eating, crafts, and storytelling for the whole family. We’ll be featuring the National Aquarium Conservation Department from 10-12. Don’t miss the gefilte fish “throwdown” at 2pm as three chefs vie for the honor of being crowned champion of this classic Jewish delicacy. WYPR’s Aaron Henkin – producer and host of the Signal, will MC a cooking competition between Liz Alpern of Brooklyn-based Gefilteria food start-up, Chef Dave Whaley, first cook at the Four Seasons Baltimore restaurant, Wit and Wisdom, and local Pikesville mom, Susan Silbiger.
Beginning October 21, the Museum will be open from 10am to 5pm, Sunday through Thursday. Tours of the historic Lloyd Street Synagogue, third oldest synagogue building in the US, will now be available five times daily.
