In Full Glory Reflected, Stories from the War of 1812

We are pleased to be welcoming Burt Kummerow , the director of the Maryland Historical Society, our partner institution for The A-Mazing Mendes Cohen. Mr. Kummerow, an expert on Maryland history, will explore the many 1812 Chesapeake stories from the “Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail” that he has collected for his book In Full Glory Reflected: Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake.
Burton K. Kummerow helped found the Living History Movement and has been a writer and popular speaker, public television producer, museum director and rock musician. He is the author of four books; War for Empire, Heartland, Pennsylvania’s Forbes Trail, and In Full Glory Reflected, Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake. Presently, Kummerow is the President and CEO of the Maryland Historical Society.
